Steve started his career in the Navy, working in the machine room of the USS Midway. After 4 years of serving in the Navy, he decided to take HVAC&R classes to learn the trade.
After 20 years of dedicated service he sought to start his own company. In 2004, Viking Mechanical began providing services on the Central Coast. “Slow growth” was the mantra to ensure we could meet existing client demand. Spencer, Steve’s son, fell in love with the business at a young age. He would accompany his father on service calls and helped out with larger projects in high school. After 2 years at Cal State Long Beach, Spencer realized his calling was refrigeration. He also loved the idea of getting to work with people from all different walks of life. In 2009, after taking HVAC&R classes of his own, he joined Steve and Viking Mechanical full time. Since our start in 2004, we have steadily grown to 7 technicians, allowing us to better meet our customer’s needs. We make customer satisfaction top priority.
